Start with the reason for the message
Before drafting a template, write down the prospect’s likely problem and why your offer is relevant. If that is unclear, a merge field will not solve it.
Use variables only when they add context
Innlead templates can use available attributes such as name, company and job title. Use them to make a concrete point, not to decorate an otherwise generic pitch.
Keep templates readable
Short messages are easier to review and adapt. Avoid asking for too much in the first interaction. A connection request can simply establish context; a follow-up can make the next step clear.
Review the workflow
Check the target search, template logic, conditional steps and schedule together. Personalization is a campaign-level decision as much as a copywriting decision.
